Purashield spacer clip, 100 pcs

Description

The Purashield spacer clip is a black stainless-steel clip for concealed fixing of PuraShield composite deck boards. You screw the clip to the joist in the side groove of the board; the next board clicks or slides onto it. Screw heads stay out of sight. This pack contains 100 spacer clips. Use them on every bearer, including at board ends. Never share one clip across two butt joints: each end gets its own clip. Combine spacer clips with Purashield starter clips for the first and last board. Keep the joints as in the PuraShield fitting instructions, at least 3 mm between the boards along the length.

Applications

These clips are intended only for PuraShield composite deck boards.

• Intermediate deck boards: Fix each next board to the joists.
• Butt joints: Place one clip per board end, never shared.
• New terrace: Combine with starter clips, joists and the correct joint size.
• Repair: Replace a damaged board without putting all screws in view.

Suitable substrates

• Timber or composite joists: Screw into the bearer according to the PuraShield centre-to-centre spacing.
• Not into concrete or tiles: The clip fixes the board to the bearer, not to the ground itself.

Instructions for use

Follow the PuraShield fitting instructions; the steps below are the clip sequence.

1. Lay joists with fall: At least 5 mm per metre for water run-off.
2. Start with starter clips: Fix the first board in the side groove, every 300 mm on the bearer.
3. Place one spacer clip per bearer: Slide the clip into the groove of the board already laid.
4. Screw the clip tight: The recessed part points up; tighten without deforming the clip.
5. Click or slide the next board: Keep the long joint (at least 3 mm).
6. Allow 8 mm at butt joints: And 20 mm to walls or fixed obstacles.
7. Finish the last board with starter/end clips: Do not use a spacer clip as a starter clip.
