Productbeschrijving
This PVC reducer Ø80 x Ø75 makes the transition from rainwater drainage to the sewer. The 80 mm downpipe is solvent-welded into the socket at the top. The bottom is an Ø75 mm spigot that goes into the socket of a 75 mm sewer pipe or fitting. This connects the gutter drain to the pipe leading to the sewer. The reducer is made of grey PVC by Dyka and matches standard grey PVC downpipes and drain pipes. The socket is joined with PVC solvent cement. Order the reducer online or collect it from Houthandel Jan Sok at Celsius 10 in Meppel.
Key features
Why this reducer is practical:
- Rainwater to sewer: connects an 80 mm downpipe to a 75 mm sewer pipe.
- Ø80 mm solvent weld socket: glue the downpipe in place for a watertight joint.
- Ø75 mm spigot: fits the socket of a 75 mm pipe or fitting.
- Grey PVC: same material and colour as standard grey downpipes.
- Dyka: reducer from a Dutch manufacturer of plastic piping systems.
Applications
Suitable for, among others:
- Connecting an 80 mm downpipe to a 75 mm sewer pipe.
- The transition at the foot of the downpipe to the underground pipe.
- Connecting an 80 mm rainwater pipe to a 75 mm fitting, such as a bend.
- Replacing an old or cracked transition between downpipe and sewer.
Connects to
The reducer fits:
- PVC downpipe Ø80 mm, solvent-welded into the socket.
- PVC pipe or fitting with an Ø75 mm socket, into which the spigot slides.
Installation
Install the reducer in six steps:
- Cut to length: cut the 80 mm downpipe square and deburr the cut edge.
- Dry fit: push downpipe, reducer and socket together without glue first and check the insertion depth.
- Clean: clean and degrease the bonding surfaces with PVC cleaner.
- Glue: apply PVC solvent cement to downpipe and socket and push them fully together in one movement.
- Fit: slide the 75 mm spigot into the socket of the sewer pipe; if that is a solvent weld socket, glue this joint the same way.
- Let it cure: only load the joint after the drying time stated on the cement packaging.

Veelgestelde vragen
How do I connect an 80 mm downpipe to a 75 mm sewer pipe?
Use this reducer Ø80 x Ø75. Solvent-weld the downpipe into the 80 mm socket and slide the 75 mm spigot into the socket of the sewer pipe or fitting.
Which end of the reducer is the spigot?
The 75 mm end is the spigot: it goes into the socket of the 75 mm pipe. The 80 mm end is a solvent weld socket for the downpipe.
Do I need to glue this reducer?
The 80 mm end is a solvent weld socket: glue the downpipe in with PVC solvent cement after cleaning with PVC cleaner. If you slide the 75 mm spigot into a solvent weld socket, glue that joint as well.
