Short answer: At Jan Sok you buy rough-sawn oak posts in 150×150 mm and 200×200 mm, lengths 2.50 to 5.00 m. European oak is durability class 2 and can go into the ground untreated. Price per piece on the product card.
Oak posts are the classic choice for a fence, gate, open-sided barn or oak canopy: heavy, strong and naturally durable.
| Size | Lengths | Use |
|---|---|---|
| 150×150 mm | 2.50 – 5.00 m | Fence, gate, pergola |
| 200×200 mm | 2.50 – 3.00 m | Open-sided barn, canopy, heavy structure |
Combine with oak beams. Fresh oak moves and checks slightly as it dries; that is normal and does not affect its strength. Overview: buy oak timber.

Frequently asked questions
Can an oak post go in the ground?
Yes. European oak is durability class 2 and, untreated in ground contact, typically lasts 15 to 25 years. Set the post in gravel or on a pier for an even longer lifespan.
