Product description
This 200x200 mm floor drain 402 collects water at floor level in utility rooms, laundry rooms, garages, basements and plant rooms. It has a round drain body with a square top plate: the body is made of ABS plastic and is covered by a stainless steel grate. The Ø75 mm bottom outlet runs straight down and connects to the waste pipe below the floor, for example in a crawl space. The connection is a solvent weld socket. The drain has a 50 mm water seal that keeps sewer smells out as long as it holds water, an installation height of 187 mm and a maximum load of 500 kg. Set the drain to the right height before pouring or tiling and let the floor fall slightly towards the grate. Order the floor drain online or collect it from Houthandel Jan Sok at Celsius 10 in Meppel.
Key features
What sets this floor drain apart:
- Ø75 mm bottom outlet, solvent weld socket: drains straight down into the pipe below the floor.
- 50 mm water seal: keeps sewer smells out as long as there is water in the drain.
- 187 mm installation height: fits a standard screed above a crawl space.
- 200x200 mm stainless steel grate: corrosion-resistant cover on a square top plate.
- Load capacity up to 500 kg: sturdy enough for a utility room, garage or workshop.
Applications
Suitable for, among others:
- Utility and laundry rooms where a washing machine might leak or overflow.
- Garages and workshops where you want to hose the floor clean.
- Basements and plant rooms with a central heating boiler or water heater.
- Floors above a crawl space, where the pipe can run straight down.
Connects to
Connect the Ø75 mm solvent weld socket to:
- PVC waste pipe Ø75 mm running vertically below the drain.
- A PVC bend of 45 or 90 degrees Ø75 mm to change direction.
- An eccentric reducer 110 x 75 mm when connecting to a 110 mm line.
Installation
Install the floor drain in five steps:
- Set out: mark the drain position at the lowest point of the floor and prepare the Ø75 mm waste pipe at the right height.
- Connect: solvent-weld the waste pipe into the socket of the bottom outlet; clean and degrease the bonding surfaces with PVC cleaner first.
- Level: align the top edge with the finished floor level, allowing for tiles and tile adhesive.
- Cover: tape over or remove the grate so no mortar or concrete runs into the drain.
- Finish: pour or tile the floor with a fall towards the drain and seal the joint between drain and floor.

Frequently asked questions
What outlet size does floor drain 402 have?
The bottom outlet has a diameter of 75 mm with a solvent weld socket. Glue in a Ø75 mm PVC waste pipe, or connect to a 110 mm line using a reducer.
When should you choose a bottom outlet instead of a side outlet?
Choose a bottom outlet when the waste pipe runs directly below the drain, for example in a crawl space. If the pipe runs horizontally in the floor, a side outlet is more practical.
Does this floor drain keep sewer smells out?
Yes. The drain has a 50 mm water seal. As long as it holds water, it keeps sewer smells out. In a room you rarely use, pour some water into the drain now and then so the seal does not dry out.
