Structural timber and roofing

Building a garden shed or storage unit starts with the right material package. Houthandel Jan Sok does not supply prefab log cabins, but we do supply the structural timber, cladding and roofing you (or your contractor) need for a solid garden building.

Basic structure

Posts and rails in Douglas or pressure-treated timber, with a floor/substructure designed for moisture. For walls: cladding boards or see our facade cladding range.

Garden room with canopy

Combine the building with an attached canopy: same Douglas line plus roof panels. Read canopy attached to the house and garden shed project.

Barn & open shed

For an open barn-style shed or closed storage shed, the same principles apply: sturdy posts, a good foundation and a watertight roof (corrugated sheets or polycarbonate).
