Purashield starter clip, 50 pcs

Description

The Purashield starter clip is a black stainless-steel start and end clip for concealed fitting of PuraShield composite deck boards. You place the clips on the first bearer line, click the first board into the side groove and repeat that at the closing board. This pack contains 50 starter clips. Place them every 300 mm along the length of the first bearer. Without starter clips the edge board stays visibly screwed or insufficiently fixed. Use starter clips together with Purashield spacer clips. Keep 20 mm free to walls and other fixed parts, so the composite board can move.

Applications

Starter clips belong with every PuraShield deck, on both long sides.

• First deck board: Fix the start line before the rest of the field follows.
• Last deck board: Close the field with the same clip in the closing groove.
• Renovation of an edge board: Replace a damaged start board without taking the middle field apart.

Suitable substrates

• Timber or composite joists: Screw the clip into the bearer, not into the tile or sand bed.

Instructions for use

Starter clips come first and last in the fitting sequence.

1. Decide the start direction: Keep 20 mm free to wall, facade or upstand.
2. Mark the first bearer line: Clips every 300 mm along the length of the start bearer.
3. Screw each starter clip tight: Click direction towards the groove of the first board.
4. Click the first board: Check that the board is held along its full length.
5. Continue with spacer clips: Each next board gets spacer clips on every bearer.
6. Close with starter clips: Fit the last board in the same way as the first.
