Impregnated pine may stand outdoors, but benefits from a stain or oil after the impregnating salt has washed out, and from placement on a dry, flat spot. Parijs suits a rural or playful garden where you do not want black hardwood, but still want two seats with a top between them.

4. Stain or oil as you wish: Choose a product for impregnated softwood outdoors.
5. Clean with water: No high pressure on the joints.
6. Check yearly: Screws, splinters and the finish coat.
